Cape North

Service hub for the northern Cabot Trail — the only gas, groceries, and inns at the top of the island.

On the Cabot Trail

Cape North is the practical centre of life at the northern tip of Cape Breton — the place travellers stop for fuel, groceries, and a meal between the Cabot Trail's two big mountain climbs. The North Highlands Community Museum is a charming small-town record of fishing, mining, and Mi'kmaw life in the area.

The road north from Cape North leads to Dingwall, Meat Cove, and the Cabot Landing Provincial Park.
