Parks Canada campground a short walk from Ingonish Beach.

A sparsely wooded campground 1 km from the Cabot Trail's eastern park entrance, ten minutes' walk from Ingonish's saltwater beach and freshwater Freshwater Lake.

Sites & amenities

60 unserviced campsites, 4 oTENTiks and 1 tiny cabin. Showers, flush toilets, kitchen shelters with wood stoves, fire pits and a playground.

Best for

Families pairing beach days with Cabot Trail drives. Tent and small-trailer friendly; no electrical hookups.

Park & access

Reservations via reservation.pc.gc.ca. 2026 season May 15 – October 26. Parks Canada entry pass required.

Combine it with

Cape Smokey gondola, Highlands Links golf, Middle Head Trail and the playhouse-pub Coastal Restaurant.
