Membertou

Membertou is a Mi'kmaw First Nation on the western edge of Sydney. It's notable as a model of community-led economic development — the band operates a hotel, conference centre, gas bar, and a growing cluster of businesses, all certified to ISO standards.

The Membertou Heritage Park is a small museum and cultural centre worth an hour, and the Kiju's Restaurant at the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre is one of the best dining options in metro Sydney.
