Judique

Celtic Music Interpretive Centre — the heart of the Cape Breton fiddle tradition.

On the Ceilidh Trail

Judique is small but punches above its weight thanks to the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre — a museum, archive, and restaurant that runs daily ceilidhs (Cape Breton kitchen parties) all summer. It's the best single place to encounter the living tradition of fiddle, piano, step-dance, and Gaelic song.

The community is the historical entry point of Scots Gaelic to Cape Breton, settled by Highlanders from South Uist in the early 1800s.
