
River Denys Mountain
A 9 km return trail on a former settlement road that climbs onto highland plateaus. The compacted earth path is suitable for walking, biking, horseback riding, and ATVs in warmer months, or snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling in winter. The section near MacColls Brook offers pleasant walking, especially in fall. Dogs permitted off-leash. No facilities. Access from Highway 105 via River Denys Mountain Road (dirt), 24 km south of Canso Causeway; park at the wide intersection 800m in.
