Point Michaud Beach Provincial Park on Cape Breton Island (1 km / 0.5 mi east of Point Michaud, 3796 Hwy 247) is an exceptional 3-km / 2-mi sandy beach (supervised in July and August), backed by marram-covered sand dunes and large cranberry bogs. Some surfing opportunities. Other park features a boardwalk, picnic tables, change house, and vault toilets.
