Buchanan Memorial Community Health Centre

Buchanan Memorial in Neils Harbour is the only hospital in northern Cape Breton — serving Neils Harbour, Dingwall, Bay St. Lawrence, Meat Cove and Ingonish. A 10-bed acute care facility with 24-hour emergency staffed by family physicians.

Its location matters: if something happens at the northernmost tip of Cape Breton, Buchanan is closer than the longer haul south to Sydney. The ER entrance is at the front of the building.
