Plaster Provincial Park (day-use)
Plaster is a day-use provincial park near Little Narrows overlooking Plaster Cove on the Bras d'Or Lake. While it does not have a campground, it pairs well with a stay at Whycocomagh, Bras d'Or Lakes or Baddeck campgrounds.
Sites & amenities
No overnight camping. Picnic tables under softwood forest, beach access, walking trails, interpretive panels covering an old lime kiln (whose plaster was used in Fortress Louisbourg) and remnants of two French/British forts.
Best for
Day trips for picnickers and history walkers based at nearby campgrounds.
Park & access
Free day-use access. Open seasonally with no gate. Reach via Highway 105 to Little Narrows.
Combine it with
Little Narrows ferry, the Highland Village in Iona, MacCormack Provincial Park (also day-use, near Iona) and an overnight at Whycocomagh.
Getting there
Day-use only. No camping facilities.
