Lowland Cove Loop – Meat Cove

This 16 km loop near the northern tip of Cape Breton Island takes 5+ hours over natural terrain and can be done in a day or as an overnight camp trip. The trailhead is at Meat Cove Campground, accessed via a narrow 7 km dirt road from Bay St. Lawrence. Expect rugged coastal terrain, no cell service, and a rating of 4 for fitness and experience—suitable for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and winter sports depending on conditions.
