Coastal provincial campground beside the St. Peter's Canal.

Set on a rocky headland between the Bras d'Or Lake and the Atlantic, beside the historic St. Peter's Canal — a 19th-century shipping lock that still operates.

Sites & amenities

53 sites: 4 with electrical, 3 with electrical and water, 46 unserviced (mix of open, partially treed and walk-in). Flush toilets, showers, dump station, fire grills, wood and ice on site.

Best for

Mid-sized RVs, tent campers seeking ocean breezes, and history-curious travellers who want to watch boats lock through.

Reservations via parks.novascotia.ca. 2026 season June 5 – October 19.
