VOCA Trivia - Nicholas Denys Days — event in Strait Area, Cape Breton

VOCA Trivia - Nicholas Denys Days

Wednesday, July 29, 2026 · 6:00 p.m.

VOCA Trivia is a community trivia event held as part of Nicolas Denys Days, St. Peter's annual summer festival in Richmond County, Cape Breton. Nicolas Denys Days is organized by the Village on the Canal Association (VOCA) , and the trivia night is one of several events the association hosts directly under that banner during festival week. Nicolas Denys Days is a summertime festival in St. Peter's, Cape Breton, and the historical figure it honours — Nicolas Denys — is considered one of the original European founders of St. Peter's, credited with building the St. Peter's Canal connecting the Bras d'Or Lake with the Atlantic Ocean. The festival as a whole strives to provide visitors to Cape Breton Island with an authentic Island experience. Scheduled during the first week of August each year, the many events planned for the week are hosted by various organizations to ensure that the whole community benefits from and participates actively in the festival. VOCA Trivia sits within that community-driven model: a social, low-barrier event organized directly by the festival's founding association and aimed at drawing both locals and summer visitors into a shared evening of fun.
