Jeudis Art - Boule de Noel - Fabric Christmas Ball

Jeudis Art (Art Thursdays) is a community arts workshop series organized by Richmond County Recreation, offering short-format hands-on sessions on Thursday evenings at a modest drop-in fee, with pre-registration required. The series runs across the year and rotates through a range of craft disciplines — past sessions have included macramé for beginners, rock painting, sign language, beginner hand sewing, and acrylic palette-knife painting. Each session is led by a local instructor and is designed to be accessible to participants with no prior experience in the featured craft. The Boule de Noël (Fabric Christmas Ball) session follows the same format. Participants are guided through the steps of constructing a decorative fabric Christmas ornament — a traditional holiday craft involving fabric, pins, and a foam or styrofoam ball base to create a textured, patterned sphere suitable for tree or home decoration. The session runs approximately one hour and a half, beginning at 6:30 p.m., and is priced at $10 per person. As with other Jeudis Art workshops, pre-registration is required and space is limited.
