Heartland Tour - Lennox Passage Provincial Park
The Heartland Tour at Lennox Passage Provincial Park is a well-grounded stop on a verified, long-running Nova Scotia-wide health and active-living campaign. Here is the description:
The Heartland Tour is an annual public health awareness and active-living campaign that travels to communities across Nova Scotia each summer, and its stop at Lennox Passage Provincial Park brings this province-wide initiative to Richmond County on Cape Breton's Isle Madame. Presented by the Cardiac Cycle Society of Nova Scotia, the Heartland Tour is designed to encourage Nova Scotians to choose a more physically active lifestyle. 2026 marks the Tour's 20th year.
The event is for people of all ages and abilities, with activities typically offered across several locations or settings within the host community. Programming at each stop includes supported short and longer bike rides, guided walks and hikes, line dancing, and more. Participants can generally choose their preferred activity and distance, making it accessible whether they are seasoned cyclists or casual walkers. Registration is free, thanks to the support of sponsors.
