Blessing of the Fleet & Boat Parade
A waterfront ceremony held in mid-summer in Arichat on Isle Madame, where fishing families and community members gather for a blessing ritual and boat parade. The tradition marks the fishing season in this historic fishing and shipbuilding harbor community off Cape Breton's southeastern tip.
