Field Notes is an exhibit of large-scale woodcut prints by Eve Stockton, an American printmaker with a summer studio on the tip of Nova Scotia whose nature-inspired work has been shaped by years exploring the region's coastline and landscapes. Known for her large-scale woodcut prints inspired by close observation of nature , Stockton has a particular fondness for the northern coast of Nova Scotia , and many of her prints are inspired by summers spent by the sea in Nova Scotia, emblematic of her lifelong love of being outdoors observing nature.
