Mairi Rankin is a fiddler and step dancer born in Mabou, Cape Breton, deeply rooted in the island's traditional music tradition. She has performed as a solo artist and as a member of the Cape Breton super group Beòlach and the acclaimed Scottish/Irish/Canadian band The Outside Track, amassing an impressive catalogue of solo and collaborative recordings. Mairi Rankin & Friends at St. Michael's Hall promises an evening of lively Cape Breton fiddle, step dance, and the warm community spirit that makes Mabou a celebrated hub of Celtic tradition.
