MacGillivray was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for contributions to culture in Canada , and Allan Dewar is a seasoned Cape Breton pianist known for accompanying master fiddlers in the island's traditional music scene. Expect an evening steeped in the living Gaelic and Celtic fiddle traditions that make Cape Breton a world-renowned destination for roots music.
