The Cape Breton Music Industry Hall of Fame Induction Gala is an annual celebration honouring the legends who have shaped the island's rich musical heritage, held each June at Centre 200 in Sydney. The 2026 inductees are Buddy MacMaster, Bill MacNeil, Gordie Samson, and Allister MacGillivray's "Song of the Mira." Buddy MacMaster, born in Judique, became one of the greatest ambassadors of the Cape Breton fiddle tradition, bringing the island's music to concert stages across Canada, the United States, and around the world. The ceremony features a host of live musical acts performing to welcome the new inductees into the Hall of Fame.
