Membertou Powwow
Annual Mi'kmaq powwow with drumming, dancing and feasts.
Open to the public, the Membertou Powwow features grand entry, traditional drum groups, intertribal dancing, regalia, craft and food vendors at Kiknu grounds in Membertou.
What to expect
Follow protocol: stand for grand entry, ask before photographing dancers, follow the MC's lead. Family atmosphere, tobacco-and-alcohol-free grounds.
