Join us for a walk/social!

The CBRM Walk Series is a free, community-oriented walking program organized by CBRM Recreation, which provides quality programming for residents of all ages, interests, and capabilities while supporting community growth in Active Living, Arts & Culture, and Sport & Recreation.

The series brings participants together at parks, trails, and green spaces across the municipality for group walks with a social component. Individual stops in the series have taken place at locations spread across the CBRM, including Munro Park in North Sydney, Open Hearth Park in Sydney, and sites in Dominion and Gabarus — reflecting the program's reach across many distinct communities on the island. The series runs across multiple seasons , with participants able to join at whichever locations work for them. All Walk Series events are free to attend.

The North Sydney stop takes place at Munro Park, a public park at 64 Seaview Drive that features a boardwalk, walking track, playground, and soccer fields. Because of Munro Park's seaside location, the temperature is often cooler there than in nearby areas , so layers are a practical consideration for participants.
