CBRM Walk Series
Join us for a walk/social!
The CBRM Walk Series is a recurring community walking program organized by CBRM Recreation, which provides quality programming for residents of all ages, interests, and capabilities while supporting community growth in Active Living, Arts & Culture, and Sport & Recreation. The Walk Series is one expression of that active living mandate, bringing guided group walks to different locations across the Cape Breton Regional Municipality throughout the year.
Each stop in the series takes place at a distinct outdoor or community location, rotating around the CBRM so that residents from different areas have a convenient opportunity to participate. The CBRM Walk Series visits multiple locations , with past editions having taken participants to parks, boardwalks, and natural spaces across the region. The Boisdale Fire Hall, situated along the Grand Narrows Highway in the rural community of Boisdale, serves as the gathering point for this particular stop — placing the series in the less urban, lake-and-farmland landscape of central Cape Breton County.
Each outing is a gentle walk guided by trained walk leaders, making the series accessible to a wide range of fitness levels and ages.
