CBRM Walk Series
Join us for a walk/social!
The CBRM Walk Series is a free, municipally organized walking and social program run by CBRM Recreation, the parks and recreation arm of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. Described simply as an invitation to "come walk with us," the Summer Walk Series returns each year as an active living program open to the community. The series takes participants to different trails across the municipality over the course of the season, with each outing offering both light physical activity and an opportunity to connect with fellow residents.
The Glace Bay stop on the series brings walkers to the Renwick Brook Trail, one of the more accessible and well-used green spaces in the CBRM. Renwick Brook Park is an urban park located in the community of Glace Bay, part of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, and includes over 4 kilometres of walking trails spread through an area of over 10 hectares, winding along a quiet brook. The park has a series of crushed limestone walking paths, with the main trail looping between footbridges near Commercial Street and the intersection of Park and Brookside Streets.
