Three Cape Breton songwriters perform originals and share stories at St. Georges church.
A Summer Music Series — The Writer's Room is a songwriter showcase held at St. George's Church Hall in Sydney, Cape Breton, featuring original artists Ava Vallis, Amelia Sampson, and Victoria McDougall. Victoria McDougall is an active Cape Breton performer , and Amelia Sampson released her debut single "Saying Something" in 2025 on Trickshot Records. An intimate evening of original songs and stories from Cape Breton's emerging singer-songwriters, this $25 all-ages show is a welcoming introduction to the island's vibrant contemporary music scene.
