Féis a’ Chidsin! KitchenFest! returns for its 13th year June 26 to July 4, 2026. The annual festival invites locals and visitors to experience the island’s vibrant Gaelic culture through concerts, céilidhs, pub nights, square dances, and more, all set against Cape Breton’s stunning scenery and warm hospitality. The full 2026 schedule will be released in February, but tickets are on sale now for the 3rd annual Big Bash. Come out to the Great Hall of the Clans at Colaisde na Gàidhlig [the Gaelic College] for a night of high-spirited fun with three lively bands–East Coast favourites Signal Hill, Inverness County’s Beech Hill, and Cape Breton’s newest young band, Coastline. Signal Hill is one of Atlantic Canada’s top trad party bands. This group of Newfoundlanders and Nova Scotians mix Newfoundland, Irish, and Cape Breton classics with pop and rock hits. They’re a staple of Halifax nightlife and are sure to get you feeling sociable! Beech Hill is an acoustic, folk and rock band from Inverness County that blends rich harmonies and catchy melodies with a groovin’ bass and drums that writes and plays music that speaks to both the young and old about love, life and living in Cape Breton. Coastline is an up-and-coming Cape Breton band that brings together folk, pop, rock, country and traditional tunes with a mix of singing, acoustic and electric guitars, fiddle, mandolin, trombone, drums and bass! The bar will be open. Dance, drink and don’t drive home as shuttle service will be available from Baddeck to the College between 7:30 pm and 1:30 am. 8:30pm-1:30am | $35 + fees | 19+
