GROUND TRUTHING: AN OUTSIDE LIFE, SOLITARY STORY, COLLECTIVE MYTH BY RONALD WILLIAMS

Saturday, June 13, 2026 · 3:00 p.m. · Inverness County Centre for the Arts

Artist Ronald Williams presents paintings exploring personal history and landscape memory through the lens of ground truthing—verification of observation against lived experience.

Artist Ronald Williams paints landscapes and memories from a lifetime working in Canadian forests, using recycled materials like rust paint on salvaged canvas. The exhibition explores how personal outdoor experience connects to broader stories about place and geography. Williams is self-taught and based in West Arichat on Isle Madame.
