The inaugural Acoustic Roots Festival took place in 2013 on the banks of the picturesque Mira River at Two Rivers Wildlife Park, Grand Mira North. Following the initial Festival performances, organizers received numerous positive comments regarding the quality and variety of the entertainment. The Acoustic Roots Festival not only provides excellent entertainment for the entire family but also serves as an important fundraiser for Two Rivers Wildlife Park. The park is a popular family recreation area for local residents and visitors alike. It has become one of Cape Breton Islands’ most popular tourist destinations and offers a wide variety of activities year round. The 13th Annual Acoustic Roots Festival is scheduled for September 4–6, 2026.
