Broad Cove Scottish Concert

Annually on the last Sunday of July · Broad Cove Concert Grounds

Cape Breton's longest-running Scottish concert.

Held outdoors in Inverness County since 1956, Cape Breton's longest-running Scottish concert features a marathon afternoon of fiddlers, Gaelic singers, pipers and step dancers.

What to expect

Field setting, bring a folding chair, expect 4+ hours of acts. Crowd of thousands, picnics encouraged.

Highlights

The parade of fiddlers — sometimes 20+ on stage at once. Step-dance solos. The smell of strathspeys at sunset.

Plan ahead

Tickets at the gate. Parking in farmers' fields. Inverness has rooms, or camp at MacLeod's Beach.

Why go

Literally the longest-running Scottish concert in North America. Continuity you can hear in the bowing.
