This cozy waterfront cottage is nestled among the trees in the community of South Harbour on Cape Breton Island, just 1.5 km off the legendary Cabot Trail. Relax on the veranda of our heritage home and take in the spectacular view of the waterfront. Pick up some fresh Aspy Bay oysters, cooked lobster and cooked snow crab at the Hideaway Campground head office (1 km) and enjoy a delicious Maritime feast right in your own backyard. We are also located within 2 km of sandy beaches, canoe and kayak rentals, bike rentals, and hiking trails. Our central location at the top of Cape Breton Island makes us a great base for gift shopping, whale watching tours, and golfing at the Highland Links Golf Course in Ingonish or at Le Portage Golf Club located in the Acadian Village of Cheticamp. Our accommodation includes a 4-bedroom waterfront heritage home (Double), with a 4-piece bath, satellite television, telephone, wireless Internet, full kitchen, veranda, barbeque, fire pit, and a boat launch. Sorry, no pets and no smoking in Summer Home. Laundry facilities are located at the Hideaway Campground & Oyster Market (1 km). Visa, MasterCard, Direct Debit and Cash are accepted. Cancellation Policy: Must cancel 3 weeks prior to day of arrival.
