MacBouch Restaurant and Lounge
The original building is just a ghost within but still tells it’s story. What was once a local post stop in the 1920’s, then a watering hole for men only, has now turned into one of the most popular pit stops for everyone with great tasting food that won’t break your budget The MacBouch building has a long history in St. Peter’s. First as a drug store around the 1920’s, then the Clarrage Restaurant and later, The Cast and Anchor around the 60’s. In the late 1960’s George Robertson and Kenneth Boucher purchased the building and started the MacBouch Tavern. The name MacBouch came from Kenneth and was a combination of the two surnames, MacTavish and Boucher. A few years later, Georgie purchased Kenneth’s share and kept it as MacBouch, now named MacBouch Restaurant and Lounge and affectionately called ‘The Tavern’. In 2000 we underwent some major renovations. We continue to grow more popular with many repeat customers! We would love for you to become one of those repeat customers!
