service· Little Narrows, NS

The Little Narrows Ferry is a short cable-driven crossing of the Bras d'Or Lake between Little Narrows and Iona. It is the most direct route from the Trans-Canada Highway 105 area down to the Highland Village Museum and on toward St. Peter's.

Practical details

The trip is two minutes long and operates 24 hours a day on demand. There is a small per-vehicle toll. The ferry runs year-round but pauses during ice, severe weather, or maintenance — Nova Scotia 511 is the place to check. The hold takes around 12 cars; in busy summer afternoons you may wait one rotation.
