James McConnell Memorial Library
The McConnell is the flagship branch of the Cape Breton Regional Library system and serves as the network's central hub. For travellers, it is the best public Wi-Fi spot in downtown Sydney with no purchase required.
Visitor amenities
Free Wi-Fi (no library card needed for the network), public computers, quiet study rooms, comfortable reading chairs and meeting rooms. Visitor day-passes for printing are available at the desk.
Hours
Monday and Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., closed Sunday.
