Egypt Falls Height: 18 m Distance (one way): 900 m Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult Hiking Time: 20 mins Cellphone Coverage: Yes Finding the Trailhead: In Upper Margaree (north of Lake Ainslie), turn onto Egypt Road. Drive to 2.2 km, and then turn right onto Pipers Glen Road. Continue for 1 km or until you see a sign labelled McFarlane Brook Trail on your right. Park here. Trailhead: 46°11’46.31"N 61°7’26.86"W Waterfall: 46º11’37.07”N, 61º7’35.76”W The Hike: This waterfall is well known in Nova Scotia and is one of the largest that is accessible via a trail less than 1 km long the name of the fall is confusing as Egypt Brook is actually another Brooke located close by, and Pipers Glen is the name of the hill feature located above the fall. The trail goes downhill where are you then meet a set of stairs and guide ropes. Please ensure that you are hiking along the MacFarlane Brook Trail. Please note: When you are leaving Egypt Falls be sure to drive out the same way you drove in. Do not use Google Maps as a guide, it will send you to Gillanders Mountain and that road is not is not the correct exit and is not accessible for most automobiles.
