The Cornerstone Motel is the latest addition to lodging in the Chéticamp area and is situated directly on the Cabot Trail just at the northwest entrance to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park in Chéticamp Nova Scotia. When you arrive you will be greeted by your hosts Cathy and Greg Larocque and their aim is to provide you with an amazing experience that will make you want to come back time and time again. (GPS Coordinates: N 46o 38.857′ – W 060o 57.372′) This picturesque 17 room motel sits on 10 acres along the banks of the mountain fed Chéticamp River, a renowned salmon spawning river, which has abundant wildlife that can all be seen from the comfort of your River View room or the river trails. The Cornerstone motel offers a varied list of amenities including; free WiFi ; reserved parking at the front door; large, clean spacious rooms; King, Queen and Double beds; complimentary coffee, microwave, fridge in River View rooms; private 3&4pc bathrooms and availability of basic amenity rooms for economy minded travelers. As well, the private grounds provide guests with walking trails and sitting areas along the majestic Chéticamp River and throughout the property. These trails provide guests with relaxing moments and memories of a tranquil setting. Motorcycle riders and bicyclists will appreciate the special amenities provided at the Cornerstone Motel such as charging centers, boot and glove dryers, wash kits for the bikes all in a safe place to leave your bikes overnight. Please ensure you request when booking in if you need these additional amenities. Evenings can be enjoyed around the Cornerstone fire pit where guests are welcome to play musical instruments, stories can be told and experiences can be shared with other travelers. With restaurants close by in Cheticamp (5 minutes away), there is no need for long drives for food. The area offers our visitors with a variety of excellent restaurants, shops, tour level golf course, whale watching, sandy beaches, rug hooking, museums and plenty of true Cape Breton hospitality to go around!
